As they say in real estate, the most important thing is Location, Location, Location. Well this one has it all, breath taking views of Vancouver’s inner harbour, the North Shore mountains and Stanley Park. All in prestigious Coal Harbour. This property was staged as a luxury rental suite for business executives.

The views were my inspiration, with clear blue skies and the tranquility of the water just steps away. The original owner had the walls painted in a grey tone that emulated elephant skin, so changing the color was the first order.  The entire condo was repainted a soft blue grey hue. A top glaze was used on the feature wall in the living room and hall, to add just a little extra surface interest.

The curving full height windows in the living room create such a dramatic look that I wanted each piece of furniture and art to be a statement unto itself. The floors were already surfaced with a dark hardwood so I added a simple cowhide throw rug for a touch of intrigue.  A contemporary red leather love seat is placed in front of the curving window.

An Eames chair takes centre stage.  I wanted to ensure that the tenants could sit back in comfort and style. What better way to enjoy the view than with a Martini in hand. Even on a cloudy day, if the North Shore mountains aren’t visible, there is still the view of the stunning courtyard below.

The bedroom suite is well appointed with a luxurious “Sterns & Foster” queen size bed. Topped with 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a whimsical duvet cover that ties into the circular theme of the glass and steel bedside tables and lamps.

The office is just off the master bedroom and well appointed with a luxurious leather office chair, steel and glass desk, with a touch of greenery. The view onto Pender Street from the six floor condo keeps you in touch with the green space below.
